The Grand Buffet of Life

By Mary Anne Cipressy David Trippany ITSC

We live in a world that is full of contrast. Everywhere we look we see things we like and things we do not like. This is a wonderful blessing to be embraced for how else are we to know what we like if we do not experience what we do not like.

Life is much like going through a Grand Buffet line. There we can choose from a vast array of delicious items. Oh the choices! As we proceed through the line we choose to place on our plates those items that we like or wish to experience. We also see many items that we do not like or perhaps do not wish to experience at that time.

So as you go through the line....you choose...Cesar salad or mixed? Mixed...now do you want tomatoes, cukes, olives, onions. I don't like onions...but I do want cheese and bacon bits and oh look croutons , yummy! Hmmm what else...baked chicken or fried...definitely fried. Mashed potatoes or rice....mashed with gravy for sure. When you are finished going through the buffet, your plate is full of items you do want. Never is your plate full of items you do not want. In fact you hardly focus on those items except to determine what you do want. You never resist the unwanted items and say to yourself," Darn onions, you know I don't like you, why do I have to see you". Never once do you go to the management and demand that the items you do not want need to be removed all together from the buffet. You accept the fact that while you may not like an item, someone else may. You also realize that while today you prefer something’s, the next time you come you may prefer something else. Never once do you let someone tell you what you should be choosing. Imagine going through the line and as you choose the fried chicken a complete strange comes along, takes it off your plate and tells you that you should not eat that and you let them do this. We all want to be exposed to as many items as possible to have a greater variety from which to choose.

So why is it when you are going through our life experiences we tend to focus on those things we do not want? We seem to not realize that they are there to give us contrast to better determine what we do want in our life, what our preferences are. When we find ourselves in a

situation that is offering us contrast, we focus only on what we do not like. In fact we focus on this so much that instead of a subtle contrast we turn it into a dramatic situation and in some cases an outright conflict or power struggle. We tell people that because I don't want this, you should not want it either. We even try to remove the unwanted from our world all together.

The Law of Attraction tells us that which we focus on we attract. So by placing all this attention to what we do not like, we are just creating more of it. Why are we filling our plates with so many unwanted items? Why are we not focusing on what items we do want?

The reasons are as varied as there are items to choose from. What it boils down to is that we have stopped listening to ourselves. We have stopped determining for ourselves what we desire. We have allowed others to determine for us what we should desire. We have given our power away to others and thereby dis-empowering ourselves. Others are always offering their opinion on any given subject from what it takes to be healthy, what car you should buy, what it takes to be successful...what you should or should not want. While the advice might be well meaning it causes an internal conflict within us. This conflict is between what you know to be right for you and what others say is right for you. We then experience a vast array of negative emotions which catch our attention. So now we are caught up in this contrasting situation.

The way out is to focus on what you feel is right for you. Take back your power through placing focus and attention onto what you know is right for you. Listen to your inner guidance system as it will direct you towards where you need to go to get what you want. The happier you feel the more you are in the direction of what you want. The more unhappy you feel, the more you are moving away from what you want.

Start filling your plate of life with those experiences and items that bring you happiness. When you see something on your plate that you do not like, realize that it there cause you put there to better determine what you want and then focus on that. Before long you will find yourself in a much happier place.

Creating Reality Based on Beliefs

By Mary Anne Cipressy David Trippany ITSC Coaching

Within each of us is a creator aspect. We are empowered to create our lives, our reality and we do so based on our belief system. A belief is a chronic persistent thought about something. Many of our beliefs are ingrained in us from the time we were children. Others we adopt as we progress along our life journey.

Manifesting with Intent

By Mary Anne Cipressy David Trippany ITSC

What does it mean to manifest with intent? It is our belief that this means what is showing up in your life is a result of being centered in self, balanced in approach, focused, deliberate and open in mind and heart. While that may seem to be quite a lot to have happen it really is not because they are all interconnected with each other.
